About Wardruna

Wardruna are a Nordic-folk group from Bergen, Norway. The sextet includes Einar "Kvitrafn" Selvik (vocals), Lindy-Fay Hella (vocals, flute), Arne Sandvoll (backing vocals, percussion), HC Dalgaard (backing vocals, percussion, drums), Eilif Gundersen (horns, flutes) and John Stenersen (moraharpa).

They have released the albums Runaljod – Gap Var Ginnunga (2009), Runaljod – Yggdrasil (2013), Runaljod – Ragnarok (2016), Skald (2018) and Kvitravn (2021). Plus, a live album titled Kvitravn – First Flight of the White Raven (2022).

Fantastic to see them live at last

Great show and great venue. The band were superb and the disuse’s lovely too. Even enjoyed the support act - a good choice!

Wardruna, Bristol Beacon, Bristol - 21st March 2025

Just incredible

It was an incredible vocal spectacle that penetrated deep into the soul. The singing, the timbre, the language, the sounds of ancient instruments caused my DNA to vibrate in a fantastic resonance. And indeed, we must not forget the singing traditions, we need to sing more of what nurtures memory.
