Latest information

With a love of classic RnB and the blues driving their sound, The Strypes are a feel good rock band whose rapid ascent to the top seems to be assured. Hailing from Cavern, Ireland, the four-piece - whose fans include Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller and Dave Grohl - are about to embark on another UK tour, giving you a chance to catch their energetic live show. The Strypes tickets for their exciting upcoming show are available now here at Gigantic.

Initially The Strypes - Ross Farrelly, Josh McClorey, Pete O’Hanlon and Evan Walsh - gained as much attention for the fact they were all still in school at the time of their first release Young, Gifted & Blue. However, the self-produced EP, which features covers of Bo Diddley and Slim Harpo, reached the top of the iTunes Blues chart and interest from record companies quickly followed.

Fast forward to 2015 and the band have a 2013 album Snapshot, a support slot with the Arctic Monkeys on their UK and European tour and a performance on The David Letterman Show in the US under their belts. Having signed to Mercury and Elton John’s Rocket Music Management, the Strypes haven’t wanted for exposure and their live performances have only furthered the general consensus that they are the real deal.

Playing live is at the heart of The Strypes experience and a string of Strypes tour dates will surely see the boys on top form once again, riding the momentum that playing a run of shows provides. Their live act is confident, loud and exciting, underpinned by an authenticity that belies their age. Sharp suits, big hair and influences that range from the Mississippi Delta Blues to the Yardbirds all add to a performance that is the ideal balance between raw swagger and accomplished musicianship.

The Strypes concert tickets are on sale right now. See them play at The Bullingdon at Oxford, O2 Academy Leicester and Plug in Sheffield during June, then The Assembly at Leamington Spa and Norwich Waterfront in July and also The Sugarmill at Stone-On-Trent in September. To make sure you’re there, book today at Gigantic.

Best Live Band You'll See!

The Strypes are quite possibly the bet live band in the UK today, and last night in Bristol, they showed this claim may even span across the whole world! With people in the audience from Japan and the USA, everyone was blown away by the amount of energy and excitement the band bring to every track (not to mention the fact they were performing on a boat!!). The setlist itself included a range of songs from across the 3 albums with Get Into It being the noticeable track that really got the gig going; a mosh pit emerged as soon as that initial riff kicked in. However, both support bands (Devon & Man and The Echo) did superb in their job of warming up the crowd. Nevertheless, the star of the show remained once more Pete (the bassist) with his Wilco Johnsoneque style causing mayhem across the stage. He also stayed behind after the gig to talk to fans which some bands don't take time to do. Overall, a top quality band, and a fantastic evening!

Incredible gig

Such a good band to see live! Definatly one of my favourites! Support band was incredible as well: Man & the Echo. Didn't live the local band Vultures...no respect for equipment, bad vocals, spat beer at the girls in front. Apart from that The a strypes you just have to see! True talent.

Nailed It!

Quality performance, confidently banging out the new tracks and blasting through the older tracks. How are these boys not on a bigger stage shifting more records?? No justice!
