The South picks up where the great pop institution The Beautiful South left off. Formed in 2009, the band includes the original singers Dave Hemingway and Alison Wheeler plus lifelong members Damon Butcher (keys), Gaz Birtles (sax) and Tony Robinson (trumpet).
They continue to play such classic hit singles as “Rotterdam”, “Old Red Eyes”, “Good as Gold” and “Don’t Marry Her”.

The South fan reviews (2)
Our party of 12 had a great night. After a wet start the evening was bathed in glorious sunshine. We loved the acts particularly the South and Si Cranstoun. Vocally superb and both bands were real showmen and looked like they were having as good a time as we were. Loved the venue, we got a great view from the grass bank as did everyone. Thanks to everyone.
