The Nujabes Experience is a soulful tribute to the late Japanese producer Nujabes, brought to life by London’s twelve piece ensemble Stompy’s Playground. Known for their innovative fusion of orchestral instruments and electronic music, Stompy’s Playground reimagines Nujabes’s rich, jazzy hip-hop compositions using harp, bass clarinet, strings, horns, synthesizers, and drum kit. This tribute honours Nujabes’s legacy, capturing the emotive depth and intricate arrangements of his work.
The ensemble has showcased The Nujabes Experience at esteemed venues such as The Jazz Café, Oslo Hackney, and festivals including Green Man and Shambala.
