Since forming in 2015, The House & Garage Orchestra have become the UK's leading live celebration of house and garage music. Founded by producer Shy Cookie and promoter Ishmael Hamilton, the project reimagines much-loved dancefloor anthems through full orchestral arrangements, live musicianship, DJs and MCs. Rather than simply covering the hits, the show reunites these tracks with many of the original vocalists, turning them into euphoric, crowd-uniting live moments.
Their reputation was cemented by a run of sold-out headline shows at some of the country's most iconic venues, including KOKO, Shepherd's Bush Empire, the Roundhouse, O2 Academy Brixton and Outernet London. In 2018 they released their debut album, Garage Classics, a full orchestral reworking of UK garage staples. Over the years the show has welcomed a roll call of genre legends to the stage, among them Sweet Female Attitude, Shola Ama, Kele Le Roc, DJ Luck and MC Neat. The result is a high-energy, feel-good celebration that brings a defining era of British dance music vividly back to life.
