A British power trio uniting Matt Deighton, Damon Minchella and Steve White, three seasoned players steeped in classic British rock, soul and folk.
The Family Silver are a British power trio built from three musicians with serious pedigrees. Singer and guitarist Matt Deighton made his name fronting acid-jazz favourites Mother Earth before working with Paul Weller and Oasis, bassist Damon Minchella spent years alongside Ocean Colour Scene and Richard Ashcroft, and drummer Steve White is a long-serving hand from The Style Council and Paul Weller's band. Together they draw on classic British rock, soul, psychedelia and pastoral folk, shaped by decades spent at the heart of UK music.
Their debut album, Electric Blend (2015), was followed by the limited Blaze of Light EP in 2017, along with a run of live shows around the UK. More a cult favourite than a heavily toured outfit, they remain a genuine musicians' band: soulful, melodic and rich with the warmth of classic British songwriting. For anyone who loves that lineage, few trios feel quite so effortlessly in tune.
