The Family Battenberg are a self-produced four-piece garage-rock band from Cardiff. They deliver their own brand of rock and roll flavoured guitar riffs, amidst a blend of driving Motorik rhythms, and curious lyrical content.
To date the band has delivered standout shows at leading showcase events, including Reeperbahn, ESNS, FOCUS Wales, and The Great Escape, propelling the band to rapidly growing audiences, and much excitement for what's to come. Reporting on their recent SXSW appearance, The Austin Chronicle name checked the band as a highlight, stating'...Family Battenberg achieved pure oneness, the universal chord.'
Following their three early single releases, in "Anteater", "Foggy", and "Spiders", respectively- all championed by the likes of BBC Introducing, 6Music, and Radio X - the band recently released their debut EP Spider Rock Forever, from which the singles were taken. The EP has received high acclaim from across the new music world, and culminated in the band's debut headline UK tour.
