THE SPECIAL AFTERNOON MATINEE SHANTY FEST - SEA SHANTY SHIN DIG!

Join us in the heart of Norfolk for the first Shanty Fest Shin Dig where 2 of Norfolk’s top Shanty Groups battle it out to deliver the best Shanty songs, to fill your afternoon.  Just not to be missed!

SIRENS AT THE HELM – ALL FEMALE SHANTY CREW

Sirens at the Helm are a fearless crew of sea-loving songbirds from West Norfolk. Born from a spark of inspiration and the call of the deep, we sing shanties and nautical tales with joy in our hearts, raising gold for charitable causes close to our hearts. From village halls to harbour days and private parties, we love sharing our songs of the sea, entertaining land-lubbers near and far. As bold as the wind, hearts steady as the helm.

"Very busy and very popular, that’s Sirens at the Helm: Norfolk’s leading all-female sea shanty crew” – Richard Tree, KL1 Radio

    NELSON'S SHANTYMEN

Nelson’s Shantymen is a non-profit-making group which aims to raise money for charitable causes. To date they have raised over £100,000 for a range of charities including RNLI, Help for Heroes, Children in Need, Comic Relief, Wells Community Hospital, Tapping House, Campaign Care 94, Nelson’s Journey, Scotty’s Little Soldiers, the Jubilee Sailing Trust, The Bridge for Heroes, Hillside Animal Sanctuary, Kings Lynn Hospital’s League of Friends, East Anglian Children's Hospice, The Big C, East Anglian Air Ambulance and QEH King's Lynn Critical Care Unit.

In addition to their large store of traditional shanties, the group’s repertoire includes a number of songs which celebrate the achievements of Lord Nelson, together with a range of lyrics recording the hardships of the fisherman’s way of life.
