Saint Clair are a London four-piece who sit somewhere between the swirling textures of shoegaze and the punch of alt-rock. The band's story began in student halls in Wembley, where frontman Toby Bardsley, guitarist Lawrence Bordean and bassist Adam Anderson first started writing and jamming together, with drummer Beth Diana later completing the line-up. Their sound is built on moody guitars, introspective lyrics and a refreshingly no-frills attitude. They'd much rather serve the song than show off, and it shows.
They arrived with debut single "Too Young To Notice" and a pair of sold-out London showcases, then went on to play Liverpool's Sound City and Brighton's The Great Escape. Their debut EP Something To Be Said (2026), released on Black Butter Records, brings together four songs about the bumpy road from youthful hope to adult reality, including the tender "Gretchen". Because the songs were written with the stage in mind, Saint Clair really come alive in a packed room, where the quiet moments land just as hard as the loud ones.
