Feel good West country rock band Reef became a household name in the nineties and continue to enjoy loyal support for their massive international community of fans. The band currently encompasses drummer Dominic Greensmith, singer Gary Stringer, guitarist Jesse Wood plus Jack Bessant taking on many duties including keys, backing vocals and bass.

The Glastonbury based band formed in 1993 and began their jamming sessions which would culminate in their early demo work; Purple Tape. They shot to prominence after their track Naked was used on a Sony TV advert for the newly emerged MiniDisc format which resulted in high profile support slots for Paul Weller, The Rolling Stones and Soundgarden. Their debut album Replenish was released in 1995 and was listed tenth by Kerrang! in their Albums Of The Year. It would become certified Gold.

Their breakthrough would truly come with the release of their single Place Your Hands in 1996. It would reach #6 in the UK Singles Chart and would be played heavily by MTV and re-recorded live clip would feature on cult nineties Channel 4 programme as the intro for regular slot It’s Your Letters. Place Your Hands accompanied their other massive hit single Come Back Brighter on their #1 1997 album Glow.

Reef continued to develop their sound and returned in 1999 with a less commercial and more mature sound for the album Rides. This progress has continued with their latest albums Getaway which was released in 2000 and the 2003 record Together.
