Public Service Broadcasting are a British band celebrated for their inventive concept albums that blend archival recordings with instrumental rock. Formed in London, they gained widespread acclaim with The War Room (2012), an EP inspired by World War II. Their subsequent albums, The Race for Space (2015), which chronicles the space race, and Every Valley (2017), which explores the decline of the Welsh coal industry, showcased their unique ability to marry history with music. Their innovative sound has earned them a dedicated following, and they are known for turning historical events into sonic masterpieces.
Public Service Broadcasting’s live performances are equally engaging, often incorporating vintage footage and multimedia elements to create an immersive experience. They’ve played at renowned UK venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and Somerset House, and are regulars at festivals including Glastonbury and Latitude. Their music, both intellectually stimulating and emotionally resonant, continues to push the boundaries of what can be achieved in modern rock, making them one of the UK’s most intriguing musical acts.
