Powerwolf is a power metal band from Germany. Daubed in corpse paint, the band music conjures mythic themes and Romanian folklore of werewolves and vampires.

The band is comprised of drummer Roel van Helden, Falk Maria Schlegel on keyboards, singer Attila Dorn, guitarist Matthew Greywolf and Charles Greywolf playing guitar and bass.

This year sees the release of their seventh studio album; The Sacrament Of Sin which they promote with a early tour which takes them to Manchester Academy 2, SWG3 (Studio Warehouse Glasgow), Bristol SWX and The Mill in Birmingham during January 2019.

First started by the Greywolf brothers when they began recruiting band members in 2003 but were unable to find a suitable singer. Whilst on holiday in Romania the siblings chanced upon Dorn, a past classical opera student at the Music Academy Of Bucharest, who followed them upon their return to hometown Saarbr├╝cken.

With the addition of Dorn came his passion for myths and legends. These themes would feature heavily in the lyrics in the release of their debut album Return In Bloodred released in 2005. Such imagery was developed further in their second album Lupus Dei. The 2007 concept album tells the story of a wolf that turns from frenzied bloodlust to enlightenment.

The band have continued their excellent work with ever more exciting albums including Bible Of The Beast (2009), Blood Of The Saints (2011), Preachers Of The Night (2013) and Blessed & Possessed (2015).
