Pixel Grip are a Chicago-based electronic trio composed of vocalist Rita Lukea and producers Jonathon Freund and Tyler Ommen, known for fusing darkwave, minimal-synth, cold-wave and EBM with pop-friendly hooks and unapologetic energy. They’ve emerged from Chicago’s DIY and club scene and channel a club-night intensity into their sound, drawing on the queer nightclub legacy of electronic genres while injecting a gritty, visceral feeling into each track.
Their third album, Percepticide: The Death of Reality (2025), stands as a conceptual and emotional milestone — exploring themes of betrayal, trauma, identity collapse and catharsis through pounding bass, angular synths and Lukea’s commanding vocals. On stage they’ve built a reputation for charged performances with a club-atmosphere vibe, and their tracks like “Stamina”, “Split” and “Reason to Stay” showcase their blend of emotive lyricism and dancefloor aggression.
The event is taking place at The White Hotel, Manchester. See individual listings for full venue details.
