Oisín Leech is a renowned Irish musician, best known as one half of The Lost Brothers. He has now ventured into a solo career with his debut album Cold Sea, released in March 2024. A Meath native, Oisín's music is deeply influenced by his Irish roots and his time spent in Donegal, where he recorded Cold Sea with Brooklyn-based producer Steve Gunn. Known for his distinctive vocals and erudite songwriting, Oisín's music blends folk, minimalism, and intimate soundscapes, often using sparse arrangements to let the songs breathe.
His solo project has received praise for its focused artistry, with contributions from notable musicians such as Tony Garnier, Dónal Lunny, and M Ward. Cold Sea explores themes of exile, love, loss, and healing, offering a personal and evocative listening experience. Oisín's creative journey also includes running a folk club in Navan, where his collaborations with artists like Steve Gunn and his immersion in folk traditions continue to shape his evolving sound.
