Nine Below Zero, Fiddlers, Bristol - 30th November 2019

Great evening as always. A good mix of music from the new album, Avalanche, and the old classics. Atmospheric venue (a new one for me).

A great, rocking show. The band still has it, especially with the new line up.

Nine Below Zero, The Flowerpot, Derby - 21st December 2018

Top gig, first time I had seen Greaves and co. as an 8 piece, little bit apprehensive to begin with, but it worked. Charlie Austin, what a talent!!!

It was a great night, hot, feisty, a small venue, with a great crowd, where I was magically transformed back into the land of the late 1970's and early 1980's (forget Dr. Who as a Timelord). There I was, being magically taken back to my late teens and early 20's, Greaves, Feltham and Burkey can do that to you. Mind you, the next morning was a right pain, if gigging and a trip down memory lane can take 30 years off you, the next morning put those years back on and then some. Maybe it's time for people of my age to stop "hip shaking" and revert to some gentle "foot tapping". Not a chance, great night worth every penny, ache and pain. Ouch!!!

Nine Below Zero, Thekla, Bristol - 19th May 2018

Having seen Nine Below Zero 3o years ago at the Bierkeller Bristol & then again for their 30th Anniversary tour at the same location with the original lineup a few years ago. I was looking forward to seeing them for the 3rd time at the Thekla. Even though not as good as the 2 previous gigs probably due to the lack of space on the stage. I mean 8 brilliant musicians crammed into a space like sardines & still produce a set of such a set of musical togetherness & tightness.
So all in all I still maintain that 9 Below Zero are one of the best ..If not the Best Live acts on the circuit.
The concert only went to prove what a Fantastic group Dennis Greaves guitar & Mark Feltham's virtuoso performance
on harmonica ( Blues Harp) & the other 6 other musicians who gave us a lesson in Rock & Blues.
Well done ....and I'll see you at number 4 .....Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!
