Spotlight On: Independent Venue Week

Sweeping across the U.K. from January 29th to February 4th, 2024 – the annual celebration shines the spotlight on the vital independent venues giving a platform to grassroots music and art, becoming an important focal point for local communities.

The 7-day celebration sees performances from a wide range of leading acts and cutting-edge artists destined to shape the sound of the year ahead. Look forward to live appearances at various locations from Skinny Living, Allison Russell, CVC, Hinds, and Personal Trainer – plus many more names you need to know!

This year, Leeds post-punks English Teacher have been appointed as the Independent Venue Week ambassadors. Formed in 2022, they have already released the Polyawkward EP and their huge anthem “The World’s Biggest Paving Slab” to great applause. They kick off proceedings with a special show at Hull’s Polar Bear Music Club before playing gigs at other crucial gig spots.
