"Impossible"

Fresh from winning the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012, jubilant James Arthur released his cover of Shontelle's "Impossible" as his debut single. The song that had helped him secure victory sent him straight to No.1 in the UK and Ireland going on to sell over 2.5 million copies, marking the singer as one of the show’s greatest success stories.

“Impossible” would be followed by "You're Nobody 'til Somebody Loves You", both of which appeared on a self-titled first album that announced the arrival of a new star on the pop scene.

"Say You Won't Let Go"

James’ greatest hit and signature song "Say You Won't Let Go" is a tender tune detailing the exciting first flourishes of everlasting love. The No. 1 song would top the charts and reach 5x platinum sales in the UK and become the Middlesbrough-born popstar’s breakthrough single in the US, elevating him to international stardom.

"Say You Won't Let Go" remains a global smash hit single and has amassed a staggering 2.2 billion streams on Spotify, with a further 1.6 billion streams on YouTube. It can be heard on the second album Back from the Edge which was released in 2016.

"Naked"

Sombre song "Naked" is a heartbreaking account of being left open and vulnerable at the end of a great love affair. Released as a digital download, the Top 20 single was included on the You album which also included "Empty Space", "Falling Like the Stars" and "Quite Miss Home" when it dropped in 2019.

"Lasting Lover"

"Lasting Lover" saw James recruit the aid of superstar DJ Sigala to produce this upbeat summer anthem. Borrowing and re-working “Time to Pretend” from indie-synthpop sensations MGMT to create a brand-new banger, it goes big on Ibiza vibes and feel-good beats. "Lasting Lover" broke the Top 10 of both the UK Singles and Dance/Electronic charts and became an instant club classic.

"Bitter Sweet Love"

"Bitter Sweet Love" is the latest offering from James Arthur and is the title track of his 2024 album, his second to top the charts. It explores a complicated relationship, and the writing process saw James team up with Steve Solomon, co-writer of  "Say You Won't Let Go", once again.

It’s been one of my favourites from the moment I wrote it. It’s about someone who has a hold on you, but whose presence in your life f*cks you up. You’re maybe drawn to them for how they look, despite how they play with your head.” –  James Arthur

James Arthur will be playing new material from Bitter Sweet Love plus playing classic hits when he plays headline shows and festivals later in the year. Book your tickets with Gigantic right now and look forward to enjoying some of the biggest and best shows of the year.
