Playfully experimental, indie rockers Bombay Bicycle Club have impressed audiences around the world with four gold-certified records, tapping into folk, electronica and post-punk.

Formed in 2005, the London-based band includes lead vocalist, guitarist, and lead songwriter Jack Steadman, plus guitarist Jamie MacColl, drummer Suren de Saram with Ed Nash on bass. The fourpiece broke after winning a competition to play the opening slot at V Festival 2006 before releasing their debut album I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose three years later to modest fanfare.

Their sophomore LP Flaws would prove to be a catalyst for the band. Opting for a largely acoustic direction, the eleven-track record combined their own material with covers of John Martyn’s "Fairy Tale Lullaby" and "Swansea" by Joanna Newsom and was their first record to break the Top 10. Having asserted their commercial success, Bombay Bicycle Club’s popularity would continue to grow with A Different Kind of Fix which attracted international attention and So Long, See You Tomorrow which hit No. 1 in the UK album charts and also topped the Heatseekers album charts in the US.

With excitement at an all-time high, the band opted to go into an indefinite hiatus whilst both Steadman and Nash worked on their own solo material. Bombay Bicycle Club would reform at the beginning of 2019 to the delight of fans, reclaiming their mantel as a vital British band with the fifth record Everything Else Has Gone Wrong and once again enjoying immense critical and commercial success.

This October sees the release of their latest album My Big Day Out. Featuring appearances from a wide selection of guest stars, including blur frontman Damon Albarn, Nilüfer Yanya, Jay Som and Holly Humberstone, excitement is high, with many considering it one of the year's biggest records! Bombay Bicycle Club celebrate the arrival of their new album with a promotional tour. Tickets are already on sale with Gigantic – CLICK HERE to book yours right now.

We cannot wait for My Big Day Out to drop, and so we revisit Bombay Bicycle Club’s biggest hits in the run-up to their unmissable live dates this autumn.

“Always Like This”

Featuring on Bombay Bicycle Club’s first album I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose; “Always Like This” is the euphoric anthem that first revealed the enormous potential of songwriter Jack Steadman and his feel-good band. Performed at almost every show and an essential song at any indie disco, it has now been certified Gold despite only just scraping into the charts back in 2009.

“Shuffle”

Silver-selling single “Shuffle” is one of the band’s biggest commercial successes. Jangly keys are met with ambient indie rhythms, laying the perfect musical background for an emotional song that explores love and loss.

“Eat, Sleep Wake (Nothing But You)”

“Eat, Sleep Wake (Nothing But You)” was the lead single on reformation record Everything Else Has Gone Wrong, and signalled a jubilant return for Bombay Bicycle Club. Wide eyed with their hearts placed firmly on their sleeves, it’s an unabashed love song filled with passion and desire.

“My Big Day”

“My Big Day” is the title track pf Bombay Bicycle Club’s forthcoming sixth studio album. The wonderfully quirky track is accompanied by a video as directed by Everything Everything’s Jon Higgs and Kit Monteith from Foals. It also feature Guinness World Record holder and adventurer Johnny Strange.
