Indie rock three-piece Dehd are the Illanois band that draw influence from garage, punk and surf rock, at once both adorable and feisty. Formed in 2016 by Emily Kempf and Jason Balla after a brief romance, the pair share guitar and vocals duties with Eric McGrady on drums.

Both their eponymously titled debut album which was released in 2016, and follow up LP Water which arrived three years later marked them out for cult band status – boosted essential Eps including Fire Of Love and Happy Again.

Then, in 2020 Dehd dropped Flower of Devotion – their most highly acclaimed album yet. Whilst the world descended into fear, the band brought out a record which shimmered with an optimism that chimed with critics with both Paste and Pitchfork listing it in their Top 50 records of the year.

Freshly signed to Fat Possum, Dehd release their fourth album in May which they now reveal is to be titled Blue Skies. The thirteen new tracks from the Chicago trio promise to be their best yet, as hinted by joyous new single “Bad Love” which showcases the band at their blissful best.

Dehd have announced shows taking place this week to promote awesome new album Blue Skies – grab your tickets right now and look forward to an incredible show!
