MX Lonely are a Brooklyn trio channelling shoegaze haze and post-punk bite into heavy, hook-led alt-rock.
Formed in Brooklyn in 2022, MX Lonely built their sound from the ground up: the icy aggression of post-punk and noise rock, the dreamy wash of shoegaze, and the kind of proper songwriting that keeps a tune lodged in your head long after the amps go quiet. Rae Haas (vocals and synth), Jake Harms (guitar and vocals) and Gabriel Garman (bass, and the band's producer and engineer) share a wide-open set of influences, from the Pixies and Weezer to the fragile intimacy of Elliott Smith, and it all feeds into music that hits hard without losing its heart.
They've spent the last couple of years earning their stripes on the road across the States, sharing stages with the likes of Trauma Ray, Cryogeyser, Midrift and The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die. Their debut album, All Monsters (2026), gathers everything that makes them tick, blending weight, melody and real emotional honesty into a band well worth catching live.
