Pop idol Marc Almond is best known as the iconic singer of the synthpop/new wave duo Soft Cell. Together with David Bell, they defined the 80’s electronica sound with smash hits singles "Tainted Love", "Torch", "Say Hello, Wave Goodbye", "What" and "Bedsitter".
Soft Cell have released six studio albums, including Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret (1981), Non Stop Ecstatic Dancing (1982), The Art of Falling Apart (1983), This Last Night in Sodom (1984), Cruelty Without Beauty (2002) and Happiness Not Included (2022).
Almond has also worked prolifically as a solo artist, releasing over twenty records including lastets title Chaos and a Dancing Star (2020).
