Manchester-born soul-pop singer-songwriter whose rich jazz-inflected voice and emotionally honest songs are carving her place as a rising force in UK music.
Lusaint (real name Lucy Hopkins) is a soulful singer-songwriter from Stretford, Manchester, whose music fuses jazz, blues, soul and pop into a voice that’s both timeless and fresh. Born and raised in a home full of vinyl, she grew up listening to legends like Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald, and her early covers of classic songs like Don’t Let Go (Love) (originally by En Vogue) earned her viral success when featured on a UK TV show, breaking the daily record for Shazams in the UK.
Since making the leap into original music around 2023, Lusaint has released songs such as “Dark Horse”, “Fool For You” and the EP Self Sabotage, which explore themes of self-reflection, growth and empowerment. Her live performances have seen her grace venues across the UK and Europe, and she’s been supported by outlets such as BBC Radio 1 alongside radio playlists in France and Italy. With her voice, songwriting and stage presence evolving fast, she’s one to watch on the soulful pop-scene.
