Kreator have been at the forefront of German Thrash and Speed Metal for over 30 years and have been instrumental in the formation of the genres sound. The band have also experimented with industrial and gothic metal. Their sheer talent and innovative have made them an inspiration to the generations of metal bands that have followed.

To date the massive metal band have sold over 2 million records.

The band currently consists of Mille Petrozza providing vocals and guitar, Sami Yli-Sirniö also on guitar, bassist Christian Giesler and Ventor on drums.

The band first started working in Essen under the name Tyrant during in 1982. They recorded and released the amazing albums Endless Pain in 1985, followed by the 1986 record Pleasure To Kill and Terrible Certainty in 1987.

So great was their success, that in 1988 they signed to the major label Epic Records under which they released the remarkable records Extreme Aggression in 1989 and Coma Of Souls in 1990.

The nineties marked a period of experimentation for the band with 1992 album Renewal seeing the band diversify into industrial sounds. The attempt to explore wild new sounds continued through out the decade, with the exception of 1995’s Cause For Conflict, on the 1997 Outcast and 1999 Endorama albums.

The new millennium marked a return to the band’s more classic thrash sound. The renaissance was heralded by the 2001 record Violent Revolution which thrilled fans and critics alike. Spurred on by the praise the band released Enemy Of God in 2005 and Hordes Of Chaos in 2009 which in turn continued to see a rise in popularity for the band.

In 2010 Kreator signed to German label Nuclear Blast Records and released their thirteenth studio album; Phantom Antichrist which sold in great numbers across the globe.

They are expected to release their next highly anticipated album next year.
