Kenny Anderson is better known by the wider public by his stage name King Creosote. The prolific Scottish singer-songwriter has perfected the art of album-craft and has released over forty records since 1998. Not only an independent act in his own right, Anderson is a member of the multi genre music collective The Burns Unit and collaborative wrote the album Diamond Mine with Jon Hopkins which was nominated for both the Mercury Music Prize and the Scottish Album Of The Year following its release in 2011.
The Fife musician launched his own record label Fence in 1995 through which he began pushing out his own material, although in recent years he has also worked with indie label Domino Records in helping with publishing and distribution.
His extensive back catalogue has earned him the respect of his peers, critics and an international fan base that eagerly awaits each new release. His live performances often see him work with a full band accompaniment, but are noted for their intimate feel.
