Kenny Wayne Shepherd is a celebrated American blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter, born in Shreveport, Louisiana. Shepherd's love for music was nurtured early by his father, a radio host and music producer, who introduced him to the world of live performances. At just seven years old, he began playing guitar, and by 13, he was already performing at the New Orleans Music Festival.
He rose to fame with his debut album Ledbetter Heights in 1995, which climbed the Billboard blues charts. His follow-up albums, including Trouble Is... (1997) and Live On (1999), were met with both critical acclaim and commercial success, earning platinum status. Shepherd is known for his soulful blues guitar playing, blending traditional influences with modern energy. His music has made him a key figure in the blues revival, and his skilful guitar work has earned him an endorsement from Fender, with his signature model.
