IST IST are a Manchester-based post-punk band known for their brooding intensity, atmospheric soundscapes and emotionally charged live performances.
Formed in 2014, they’ve built a devoted following through relentless gigging and a string of powerful releases. Their debut album Architecture (2020) introduced a bold, no-frills sound, while follow-up The Art of Lying (2021) cemented their place among the UK’s most compelling underground acts. Their third record, Protagonists (2023), showcases a more expansive sonic palette, blending raw energy with cinematic depth.
IST IST have toured extensively across the UK and Europe, with standout performances at Tramlines, Y Not and Dot to Dot Festival. They’ve also supported bands like The Editors and White Lies, earning a reputation for their gripping stage presence and atmospheric setlists. Whether playing intimate venues or larger festival stages, IST IST continue to resonate deeply with fans seeking music that’s honest, powerful and unafraid to confront the darker corners of life.
