About Ingested

Formed in Manchester in 2006, Ingested have grown from underground slam pioneers into one of the UK's most respected extreme metal bands. Their debut album, Surpassing the Boundaries of Human Suffering (2009), set out their stall with crushing, precise brutality, and they've kept sharpening that sound ever since. Where Only Gods May Tread (2020) earned a place on Metal Hammer's list of the best metal albums of the year, while Ashes Lie Still (2022) and The Tide of Death and Fractured Dreams (2024) pushed their songwriting into darker, more dynamic territory.

Their eighth album, Denigration (2026), released on Metal Blade Records, is a ferocious, wide-ranging record that weaves slam, groove, melody and blackened edges together, with guest appearances from John Gallagher of Dying Fetus and Damonteal Harris of PeelingFlesh. Ingested are just as formidable live. They've toured Europe and the UK with The Black Dahlia Murder, supported Cannibal Corpse and Cryptopsy across Europe, tackled North America's Summer Slaughter Tour and played Download Festival. If you like your metal heavy, tight and utterly punishing, this is one to catch.
