Indigo Girls, Islington Assembly Hall, London - 30th July 2017

I first heard the Indigo Girls in the 80's and it took some time before I got into their songs - not just the popular ones. When I did, I appreciated that they wrote about everyday life in a (non-preachy) way that I could identify with. Their consistently good song writing and brilliant harmonies came through during Sunday night's gig as they played from their most recent album and extensive back catalogue. This was the first time I'd seen them live and the crowd were fantastic, singing along with particular favourites of mine, Galileo and the show's closing number, Closer to Fine. I'm already looking forward to seeing them when they're back in the UK.

Great performance worth a 20 year wait to finally see these girls live. Wish they had stretched out one more encore to fit in Shame On You! Nice venue with the nicest security checks ever - so genial and polite!

The Indigo Girls are always a great act and put on a brilliant show. My only complaint is that the don't play London frequently enough !!

Indigo Girls, RNCM Concert Hall, Manchester - 20th July 2017

We loved the concert - Indigo Girls put on a brilliant performance, and the whole thing was lifted even further by some great audience and performer chat. Support from Lucy was excellent too.

Their arrival onto the scene was announced with the release of debut album Strange Fire in 1987. It would thrill fans everywhere and would be certified Gold. Their commercial success would rise further with the release of their eponymously titled follow up which would become two times Platinum. So far, three albums have been certified Gold and another three have hit Platinum!

Their fourteenth studio album One Lost Day is their latest. Released in the summer of 2015, the record showed continued growth despite the length of their career as the pair still wow the critics.

This new album, their first in four years, is a fine return to form, Emily Saliers and Amy Ray trading lead vocals and reclaiming their pristine harmonies without much fanfare.” - Boston Globe
