Hayden Calnin is an Australian singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist known for his ethereal blend of electro-folk and indie pop. Emerging from Melbourne in the early 2010s, he quickly gained recognition with his debut EP City (2012), featuring the standout track “For My Help”. His cinematic soundscapes, influenced by his background in film and sound design, draw comparisons to artists like Bon Iver and James Blake.
Calnin's music has been featured in several popular TV shows, including Suits, The 100, Parenthood, and Teen Wolf, as well as in the official UK and Japanese trailers for the Oscar-nominated film Room. His 2016 double album Cut Love showcased his evolving sound, blending introspective lyrics with lush arrangements. In 2021, he released What It Means to Be Human, an album that delves into themes of human existence and spirituality. His most recent work includes the 2024 EP All Kinds of Light, which continues to explore his signature atmospheric style.
