Georgia Cécile is a Glasgow-born vocalist, songwriter and performer who is emerging as one of the UK’s most exciting voices in jazz, soul and crossover music.
Her debut album Only the Lover Sings (co-written with pianist/composer Euan Stevenson) drew praise for its lush orchestration, warm palette of acoustic instrumentation, strings, brass, Hammond organ, and its blending of classic soul-jazz with modern lyrical sensibilities. Georgia’s style draws from influences such as Nina Simone, Nancy Wilson, Stevie Wonder, and classic soul while also incorporating contemporary voices, creating music that feels nostalgic yet fresh and emotionally rich.
Her live shows are a key part of her reputation: from intimate jazz clubs in Scotland to prestigious stages like Ronnie Scott’s in London, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, and supporting Gregory Porter at the Royal Albert Hall. She’s also worked alongside the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra.
