Since 2015, Gilles Peterson's Brownswood has been running Future Bubblers, a talent discovery and development programme built to find the artists the music industry too often misses. Musicians based outside London get priority, and each one is given a mentor, production sessions and time recording in the Brownswood basement. Nottingham's Yazmin Lacey was part of the very first intake, and the scheme has since helped bring through names including Skinny Pelembe and KinKai.
Future Bubblers 9.0 puts the programme's ninth wave of artists in the spotlight, the same group heard on the compilation Future Bubblers 9.0 (2026). Peruvian saxophonist and flautist Allexa Nava leads the way, joined by trumpeter Hana Amaya. Faith Folorunso brings a voice full of gospel feeling, producer Lovellious lays down drum-led, percussive grooves, and India Shan adds warm, heartfelt soul. It's a chance to catch a room full of exciting new voices with jazz at their heart, and to say you saw them first.
The event is taking place at The Jazz Cafe, London. See individual listings for full venue details.
Tickets go on sale on Thursday 29th October 2026 at 10:00am.
Ticket prices may vary depending on venue and location. Full pricing details are available on each individual event page.
