Erja Lyytinen is a Finnish vocalist, guitarist and songwriter widely recognised for her virtuosic blues playing and expressive, soulful voice. Known for her command of slide guitar and deep connection to blues tradition, she blends classic blues foundations with rock, roots and contemporary influences, creating a sound that is both reverent and forward-looking. Her songwriting balances technical brilliance with emotional depth, earning her a reputation as one of Europe’s most compelling modern blues artists.
Her extensive catalogue includes albums such as Attention! (2002), Wildflower (2003), Dreamland Blues (2006), Grip of the Blues (2008), Voracious Love (2010), Forbidden Fruit (2013), The Sky Is Crying (2014), Stolen Hearts (2017), Another World (2019) and Waiting For the Daylight (2022), alongside collaborative projects including Pilgrimage – Mississippi to Memphis and It’s a Blessing.
