The evening as a whole was a perfect mix of 90s grunge and the king. This started off with the support (Hands off greeted) who put on an amazing set. They are an amazing hark back to 90s grunge, a bit of screaming and well written/ performed songs. It’s hard to get what they are doing right, but HOG have got the mix right. Then Elvana played a set with colourful Elvis suits, the best Nirvana covers I have ever heard and an environment that got the crowd singing along to it all. With the Waterfront being a small venue with low ceilings, most people don’t attempt pyro or ticker tape explosions. But Elvana weren’t phased by what most other people think, they did it all. My only issue with the whole evening, was the speed of the bar. But I’m not sure that could have been helped. All round a great evening, with two bands I will definitely see again.
