About Currents

Currents are a Connecticut-based metalcore band known for their crushing riffs, atmospheric melodies and emotionally intense lyricism. Since their formation in 2011, they have steadily built a reputation for blending ferocious heaviness with introspective and thought-provoking themes. Their debut album, The Place I Feel Safest (2017), introduced their dynamic sound, while The Way It Ends (2020) solidified their place in the modern metalcore scene with standout tracks like “Monsters” and “A Flag to Wave.” Their latest album, The Death We Seek (2023), pushes their sonic boundaries even further, tackling themes of existential struggle and personal turmoil.

A powerhouse in the live circuit, Currents have made a lasting impact on UK audiences, playing at major festivals like Download Festival and supporting bands such as Parkway Drive, Architects and August Burns Red on tour.
