A legendary name in gothic rock, rediscovered by new generations and still captivating worldwide.
If you'd like to be the first to know when new events are announced, you can follow CORPUS DELICTI below.
Corpus Delicti formed in Nice in 1992 with Sébastien (vocals), Franck (guitar), Chrys (bass) and Roma (drums). Their debut album Twilight (1993) quickly became a benchmark of gothic rock, blending post-punk intensity with a striking sense of melody and atmosphere. The follow-up records, Sylphes (1994) and Obsessions (1995), further strengthened their reputation, leading to tours in the US and across Europe before their split in 1997. Though inactive for over two decades, their legacy only grew, celebrated in Tony Leduc-Gugnalons’ 2011 biography La Déliquescence des ombres and through acclaimed reissues on Cleopatra Records from 2019. Critics have hailed Sylphes as a masterpiece, with Uncut including it in their special issue of the 200 essential gothic albums Corpus Delicti the only French band on the list.
In 2022, the band reunited with a new drummer following Roma’s health issues, returning with a sold-out show in Cannes that sparked a string of triumphant concerts across Europe, the UK and Latin America. Highlights include a Mexican tour culminating in a packed show in Mexico City, a headline at Manchester Cathedral, and major festival slots in Germany, Portugal and Belgium. Their live album From Dust To Light (2024), recorded in Mexico City, captures the renewed power of a band still commanding global devotion, while their haunting single “A Fairy Lie” has cemented their place as gothic rock icons.
