Hailing from Houston, Texas, Corpse Pile play slamming death metal at its most gloriously brutal. After cutting their teeth with a 2020 demo and the 2021 split Tales From the Gutter with Snuffed on Sight, the band signed to Maggot Stomp and unleashed the EP Hardgore Deathmetal (2024). Its five short, savage tracks, including "Reality" and "Force Fed Lead", paired guttural vocals and hammer-blow slams with the stomp of beatdown hardcore. That marked Corpse Pile out as one of the heaviest names in the modern slam scene. They followed it with In the Beginning... (2025), a six-track EP steeped in the classic '90s slam sound.
Corpse Pile have earned their stripes on the road, too. They've toured the US alongside Bodybox and labelmates Snuffed on Sight, joined PeelingFlesh on The Get Rich Die Hard Tour, and supported Dying Fetus and Cradle of Filth on the 2025 Chaos & Carnage tour. Expect a relentless, no-frills set made for spin-kicks, slam pits and very sore necks the next morning.
