Originally hailing from the vibrant musical melting pot of Dublin, Colm R. McGuinness is a multi-talented singer, performer, instrumentalist, composer, producer and content creator. Growing up playing violin and guitar, he developed a natural affinity for music that soon led him toward self-sufficient production, weaving together a diverse palette of influences. His sound moves effortlessly between traditional Irish folk, Nordic folk/metal, historic sea shanties and contemporary rock, enriched by an ever-growing array of instruments and an extraordinarily broad vocal range. Alongside a string of viral covers — including his powerful version of “Hoist the Colours”, which has surpassed twenty-eight million views — Colm has also ventured into soundtrack creation for fantasy worlds, composing for the likes of Critical Role and gaming projects such as Conqueror’s Blade.
In 2024, Colm released Something Worse, an EP of stirring, introspective acoustic folk songs that showcased his gift for heartfelt, narrative-driven songwriting. The following year marked a bold shift as he dove into music inspired by beloved gaming universes including Doom, Helldivers, Dungeons & Dragons, and his fan-favourite Space Shanties based on the Warhammer 40K cosmos. After completing his first European tour supporting fellow Irish artist Miracle of Sound, Colm continues to expand his world — blending fantasy, folklore and genre-spanning creativity into a body of work that is as imaginative as it is emotionally resonant.
