CHROMA are a bi-lingual alt-rock three-piece from Pontypridd, quickly earning a reputation for their bold sound and electrifying live shows. Drawing influence from bands such as Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Gossip, they blend raw guitar energy with sharp hooks and an unmistakable sense of urgency. Hotly tipped by Under The Radar magazine as ones to watch in 2022, CHROMA have continued to build momentum through a combination of relentless touring and growing critical attention.
The band have received strong radio support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Kerrang! Radio, Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru, alongside ongoing backing from BBC Introducing. Their live credentials include appearances at Reading & Leeds Festival, BBC Radio 1’s Biggest Weekend, FOCUS Wales and Festival No. 6, as well as European festival slots in Barcelona and Brittany. CHROMA have also played sold-out shows across the UK supporting acts including IDLES, Peace, VANT and Tigercub. A standout moment came with a Maida Vale Studios session for BBC Radio Wales, later picked up and aired on Radio 1, rounding off a successful pre-pandemic 2019.
