Choir! Choir! Choir! is the joyful, Toronto-born sing-along where the audience becomes the choir, learning harmonies to much-loved anthems on the night with no experience needed.
Why just watch a show when you can be part of it? That's the simple idea behind Choir! Choir! Choir!, the wonderfully interactive sing-along that turns a room full of strangers into one big, harmonising choir. Directors Daveed Goldman and Nobu Adilman, armed with an acoustic guitar and plenty of good humour, teach the crowd their parts to some of the greatest songs ever written before everyone lets rip together. All voices are welcome and nobody needs to read music, so grab a friend (or ten) and come ready to sing your heart out.
The pair started Choir! Choir! Choir! as a drop-in singing night in Toronto in 2011, and it has since travelled far beyond its hometown. Along the way they've led 1,500 voices through Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" with Rufus Wainwright, sung David Bowie's "Heroes" with David Byrne in New York, and shared the stage with Patti Smith, Rick Astley and even Kermit the Frog, who joined them for "Rainbow Connection" at New York's Lincoln Center. Those videos have clocked up millions of views online, but nothing beats being in the room when the harmonies come together.
The event is taking place at Union Chapel, London. See individual listings for full venue details.
