Catfish and the Bottlemen are a Welsh rock band that emerged as one of the UK’s most exciting guitar acts in the 2010s. Formed in Llandudno in 2007, the band consists of frontman Van McCann, guitarist Johnny Bond, bassist Benji Blakeway, and drummer Bob Hall. Their debut album, The Balcony (2014), propelled them into the spotlight, featuring hit singles like “Kathleen” and “Cocoon.” This was followed by their sophomore album, The Ride (2016), which further cemented their place in the rock landscape, showcasing their knack for anthemic choruses and relatable storytelling.
Known for their electrifying live performances, Catfish and the Bottlemen have headlined major festivals such as Reading and Leeds, Glastonbury, and Isle of Wight Festival, and played iconic venues across the UK, including London’s O2 Arena and Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl.
