What a great weekend, the festival was well organised, the staff were brilliant. Of course the weather was glorious :) The bands were amazing showcasing new talent as well as established bands. Loved that the bands came into the crowd and chatted with us and shared a beer or few!!! Definitely going again next year. Massive thanks to all involved for a brilliant weekend

Our first music festival and everything was excellent. Friendly staff, clean site, so well organised and indoor bands for rainy days. I was not expecting to discover so much talent and now have downloaded lots of music from the new bands we heard. Great mix of styles and songs so something for every metal fan. We were also able to talk to some of the bands as they stayed after their set and chatted. Lots of lovely food to purchase at good prices and speciality metal merchandise stalls. There was a brilliantly stocked festival shop selling everything you needed. Definitely going next year and this time for all three days.

Obvs. a small fest but amazing to have something like this happen in Lincolnshire. Stroke of genius getting The Wildhearts to headline Saturday, they were amazing (as always).

It was very well organised, everything seemed to run smoothly and had a great selection of bands and food choice. Good atmosphere and the location/setup worked well. Can't wait to see how it grows over the next few years.

Call Of The Wild Festival, Lincolnshire Showground, Lincoln - 24th May 2019
This festival was pleasant enough and had some decent bands appearing, just not much of an audience on the second day. I only went on the Saturday. The suprise for me was how few fellow rock fans were there. It only seemed to be a couple of hundred and much less outside for most of the day. I'd gone mainly to finally see Those Damn Crows. They were very good, as expected, and I enjoyed two other groups I'd never heard of during the day: Hands Off Gretel and Colt 45. Sadly the bands playing all day on the two indoor stages saw very little by way of audiences, with a couple of exceptions. I also felt a bit sorry for the food vendors who didn't get as much trade as they probably expected. Of course this was the very first Call of the Wild festival. Hopefully it'll grow from there. Finally, I didn't know The Wildhearts really, as they stepped on stage as top of the bill. They were absolutely tremendous, an absolute wall of noise and some serious bopping around rock and roll music ensued. A very positive ending to Saturday night at the Call of the Wild festival.
