Brave Rival are a high-energy rock and blues band from Portsmouth, England, known for their powerful vocals, thunderous grooves and fiery, riff-driven sound. Formed in 2019, the band is fronted by co-lead singers Lindsey Bonnick and Chloe Josephine, with Ed “the Shred” Clarke on guitar, Billy Dedman on bass and Donna Peters on drums. They burst onto the scene with their debut album Life’s Machine (2022), which earned critical acclaim and caught the attention of blues-rock icon Joe Bonamassa, who described them as one of his “favourite discoveries” of the year. Their follow-up Fight Or Flight (2024) and recent project 5 to 4 (2025) further showcase their dynamic songwriting and bold sonic evolution.
On stage, Brave Rival are celebrated for electrifying live shows across the UK, sharing stages with acts like FM and playing at venues such as Cambridge Junction and supporting tours that have taken them across the country. In 2025 they were crowned Band of the Year at the UK Blues Awards, cementing their reputation as one of British rock’s most exciting rising acts.
