Bottle Rockets are a Glasgow-based indie four-piece whose sound combines Scottish alt-pop, hazy shoegaze textures and cinematic indie rock. Made up of vocalist Kenzi Murray, guitarist John Tamburrini, bassist Andrew Cummings and drummer Sam Rae, the band have quickly become one of Scotland’s most talked-about emerging acts thanks to their emotionally charged songwriting and powerful live shows.
Since forming in 2021, Bottle Rockets have built a strong reputation on the UK live circuit, playing festivals including TRNSMT, Belladrum, Tenement Trail, Reading & Leeds and The Great Escape. They won Best Alt/Rock at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards in 2023 before being crowned BBC Introducing Scottish Act of the Year 2024. Their music has received support from BBC Introducing Scotland, BBC Radio 1 and Amazing Radio, while tracks such as “Winter Baby”, “Limerence” and “father’s daughter” showcase the band’s mix of soaring hooks, vulnerability and widescreen indie ambition.
