Boko Yout are one of the most exciting and unpredictable new acts to emerge from Sweden in recent years. Led by Paul Adamah, the genre-defying collective have created their own distinctive sound, which they describe as Afro-Grunge – a fearless blend of punk-funk grooves, alternative rock intensity and experimental textures. Their music is both confrontational and uplifting, combining explosive energy with themes of liberation, identity and self-expression. Since bursting onto the European scene, Boko Yout have earned a reputation for pushing boundaries, winning praise for their originality and becoming one of the continent’s most talked-about rising live acts.
In 2025, Boko Yout released their acclaimed debut album, GUSTO, a bold and deeply personal concept record that unfolds through fictional therapy sessions with the enigmatic Dr. Gusto. Exploring topics including anxiety, creativity, ego and artistic freedom, the album showcased the band's ability to balance introspection with raw power. Their rise has been rapid, earning a nomination for the prestigious Music Moves Europe Awards and a high-profile European tour supporting Viagra Boys. Renowned for performances that blur the lines between concert, catharsis and performance art, Boko Yout continue to captivate audiences with a live show that is as unpredictable as it is unforgettable.
