A headliner this year at Cambridge Folk Festival and one of the best Americana live acts around will be performing at a very special Christmas Black Deer Live show at ‘Brighton Winter Fayre’
Ross Wilson aka Blue Rose Code writes songs straight from – and to - the heart. Exploring love, loss, exile, addiction, hope and faith in a deeply personal way, they blend folk, Americana, jazz, soul and pop influences into something completely unique.
Bright Circumstance, the long-awaited sixth album, gives free rein to the brilliance of the full Blue Rose Code touring band and was released in May to universally positive reviews and was longlisted for the Scottish Album Of The Year Award:
“Jubilant, prayerful, compassionate, Caledonian soul maestro Ross Wilson’s latest iteration of his Blue Rose Code band sees his songs bursting with heart” ***** The Scotsman
A magnetic performer who loves to connect with his audience, Ross and the superb musicians he works with are now firmly established as one of the UK’s most uplifting and powerful live bands.
“A set of almost religious intensity and sincerity. Wilson makes widescreen soul in the spirit of Van Morrison, and was full of the holy fire of live performance." The Times
"One of the greatest live acts around right now...do yourself a favour and go." Americana UK
