B O D I E S is an eight-piece, all-female a cappella vocal ensemble based in Berlin, founded and led by Australian singer, songwriter, and producer Kat Frankie
B O D I E S is led by Australian singer-songwriter-producer Kat Frankie and consists of a dream line-up of Berlin’s best Indie voices. The project is based in Berlin and began from the seeds of Kat’s solo music, where she would loop her own vocals in live performances. Over time, these looped arrangements became a full project. There are no instruments – only eight voices singing in harmony.
Having sold out Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie three times and Berlin’s Philharmonie twice without an instrument in sight, this is music that doesn’t shy away from emotions both enraged and tender, delivering joyous catharsis and vibrating with wonderment. In an age where it’s getting harder to tell the difference between the synthetic and the human, B O D I E S is a resounding affirmation of the physical, the primal and the handmade.
