Aqualine are a five-piece alternative rock band from Guildford, made up of Ben (vocals), Patrick (lead guitar), Will (rhythm guitar), Gray (bass) and Sam (drums). Their sound draws together shoegaze, grunge, hip-hop, post-punk and experimental ambience into something melancholic yet explosive, built as much for the studio as for the stage.
The band's rise gathered pace with debut single "Looking Dead", which caught the attention of BBC Radio 6 Music's Steve Lamacq and helped introduce Aqualine to a wider audience. A string of further singles and a growing run of live dates have followed, with the band earning a reputation for channelling the raw energy of their shows into layered, atmospheric studio recordings. With a debut EP, Lurker, in the works, Aqualine are shaping up to be one of the most exciting names to emerge from Guildford's alternative scene, offering a fresh, bold take on their favourite genres.
