Afterhours are one of the most influential and enduring bands in Italian alternative rock, founded in 1986 by frontman Manuel Agnelli. Emerging from the underground scene with early English-language releases, the band evolved into a defining voice of Italian rock with albums such as Germi (1995) and Hai paura del buio? (1997), blending melody and noise with sharp lyricism and experimental ambition.
Across a rich catalogue including Non è per sempre (1999), Quello che non c’è (2002) and Ballate per piccole iene (2005), Afterhours have continually refined their sound, balancing raw intensity with sophisticated arrangements. Known for their powerful live performances and artistic evolution, the band have collaborated with international artists and performed extensively across Europe and North America, securing their status as a cornerstone of modern Italian rock.
