Adult DVD are a post-punk band from Leeds, UK, known for their raw energy, genre-blending sound, and captivating live performances. Formed in the early 2020s, the band draws inspiration from the edgy, angular sounds of post-punk pioneers while incorporating elements of funk, electronic textures, and modern indie flair. Their music combines driving basslines, punchy guitar riffs, and hypnotic rhythms, creating a sound that is both urgent and immersive. Lyrically, Adult DVD explore themes of urban life, identity, and emotional turbulence, delivering their messages with both wit and intensity.

In September 2024, Adult DVD released the EP Next Day Shipping, featuring standout tracks like “Do Something” and “Hot Set,” which exemplify their knack for blending immediacy with musical depth. The band has been steadily building a reputation for high-energy live shows, having performed at festivals including Manchester Psych Fest and Brighton Psych Fest, and are slated to appear at Astropolis Festival in Brest, France, on 4 July 2025. With a growing international profile and a sound that honours post-punk traditions while pushing them forward, Adult DVD are emerging as one of the UK’s most exciting contemporary bands.
