About Aborted

Aborted is a Belgian death-metal band formed in 1995, known for their brutal, technical sound that blends death metal with grindcore influences. Led by vocalist Sven de Caluwé, the band released their debut album The Purity of Perversion (1999), followed by critically acclaimed records like Goremageddon: The Saw and the Carnage Done (2003) and Retrogore (2016). Their latest album, ManiaCult (2021), continues to push the boundaries of extreme metal. Aborted has toured extensively, supporting major metal acts like Cryptopsy and Behemoth, and performed at festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Hellfest.
